Rakoczy boilers with upper combustion systems were designed around the POPTER D series coal boilers, which is why they look identical on the outside; however, they differ in the construction of the internal heat exchanger, which significantly increases the capacity of the combustion chamber and makes the boiler suitable for a wide range of solid fuels.

POPTER with the upper combustion system is the most versatile boiler, as it can be fuelled by coal, coke and wood in any form.

Given their design and the fact the surface needing cleaning is small, these boilers are easy to maintain. Another advantage is the large charge chamber and deep furnace (pieces of wood as long as 0.5 m can fit into the 24 kW boiler).
